The round pen in a horses’ training
I recently read an article written by someone not knowledgeable in the use of pen and write about the spirit of the horse. There are many applications for the round pen for training a horse. For me, the round pen is a teaching environment for all horses in a series of compliance to open communication and trust.
Safety is a huge advantage of the round pen for the beginning of a new horse. I can work with the horse and should not be linked to a 1500 pound animal panic, and is free to leaveĀ if they feel too much pressure. Length does not always allow them into a corner and then try to insert or injured while trying to run through the fence.
If the horse does not comply, you can not go further in their education. Respect is earned, not be confused with fear, which is a chilling feeling. The first day of the horse knows nothing about me good or bad, and could not really demand that I do. The round pen allows me to develop lessons that build on each other, they begin to learn the horse, which I suppose at first that the position of the head of the horse.
When two players to lead a time, like it or not, and found horses to make head dangerous to humans. Gradually the horse began to respect as I lead through the studies falling under heads of horses and not to harm him.
Over time, the horse has accepted the position and my back still happy that the burden for me. It is a great responsibility to lead the horse’s point of view, and most horses are happier than anyone else to address. At this point, the horse calmed down and began to understand that trying to communicate my wishes. Start to see what to do, and each time an exercise is over and that comes out unscathed, it increases their confidence.
Well, it’s a huge responsibility for me because it is so the horse can really grow spiritually and mentally and all I can in a few simple mistakes to lose. This can be a delicate situation to determine whether a response from the horse to fear or distrust. If I lose to respond to a reaction of fear, I firmly trust between horse and confusion. If the horse is not corrected for the conduct of the challenge will become more difficult job. Round Pen offers the perfect environment to learn each horse thinks and reacts to pressure.
With the proper implementation of the round pen is a valuable tool for working a horse and got the first weeks of training. There are moments later in training when they return to the round pen to work under saddle too. However, as a little saddle, rope, whip or other tools if used properly, can damage the horse is physically, mentally and emotionally. This is not the tool is to blame, the uneducated.
